President, Creative Director
"This sculpture was found in a Tokyo subway station and although some may think it looks uncannily like me, I know it is not because I do not own a red tie."
Chris has a natural understanding of what will work best for a client’s communication design. He knows what will make Spacecadet clients unforgettable.
Chris was inspired by Star Wars, Lego and album covers to get into the world of design. Trained at OCAD, he fell in love with the Masters of 20th Century Design and Architecture. Their teachings are the foundations of Chris’ design sensibilities upon which he builds his love for music, film, architecture and pop culture. Clients benefit from his combination of compassion, understanding and extremely high standards of design. His passion for excellence is matched only by his devotion to his beautiful young family and Spacecadet Design.
Chris is a charter member of Motherbrand and the Canadian Design Resource.
Since 2003, Chris has been instructor at the University of Manitoba, School of Art, Design Program and has taught how to design for the internet and business practices of professional designers.
Since 2005 Chris has helped identify some of the best album cover artwork in Canada as part of the selection committee for the Juno Awards.
